The Andersons
The Andersons is about a newly wed couple, David and Lisa Anderson, traveling throughout Alaska for their honeymoon. On their final stop through Glacier Bay National Park, their honeymoon turns for the worse as The Andersons realize they are at the only ones at the park, or are they?
I suggest you read this book if you would like a piece of medium that makes you think and say "Is what I'm reading real or is this all in the characters head?" added to your collection. This book is curated for all thriller lovers around the world. Not just about thriller though, I added in a bit of romance in for those who may like that genre as well. I love putting my characters into real world problems and situations so that anybody who may pick my books up could relate to any of the characters mentioned, one way or another. Making people think with my words has been something that I always gravitated towards over the past year and I plan on building on top of that with my first ever book titled The Andersons.
During the reading of this book I show you what the Alaskan folklore, Kushtaka, is truly capable of. If you are new to this folklore or have previous knowledge of it. I ensure you that this story will keep you on your toes with all the twists and turns around every trail as you travel through Glacier Bay National Park.
SPOILER AHEADTALKING ABOUT THE KUSHTAKA
Before read this below, this segments just lets you know what a Kushtaka is and how they operate. I suggest that you give the story a read then come back to this segment... If you are not sure what the Kushtaka is I'll give you a brief summary. The Kushata are shape-shifters capable of assuming human form, the form of an otter and potentially other forms. They are cruel creatures who take delight in tricking poor Tlingit sailors to their deaths. In others, they are friendly and helpful, frequently saving the lost from death by freezing. In many stories, the Kóoshdaa káa save the lost individual by distracting them with curiously otter-like illusions of their family and friends as they transform their subject into a fellow Kóoshdaa káa, thus allowing them to survive in the cold. In other legends it is said the Kóoshdaa káa will imitate the cries of a baby or the screams of a woman to lure victims to the river. Once there, the Kóoshdaa káa either kills the person and tears them to shreds or will turn them into another Kóoshdaa káa. It is also said that the Kóoshda káa emit a high pitched, three part whistle in the pattern of low-high-low.
The Andersons is intended for 18+ readers but I feel like anybody could pick this up if you truly love horror, thrillers, and folklores like myself.

"Together, they would navigate the uncharted path ahead, weaving their own story amidst the towering forests and icy fjords of Alaska—a hero's journey written in the footsteps of love and adventure.
As they inched closer to the front gates of Glacier Bay National Park they turned around one last time to thank Emily and William for bringing them all the way up. As soon as the Andersons turn around they are met by a smile that seemed uncanny and otherworldly by Emily and William.
Emily's smile was so wide that it touched ear to ear as tears began to rush down her face like the Alaskian waterfalls surrounding the area.
David and Lisa quickly turned around and rushed inside to grab their tickets before Emily could shout out “SEE YOU SOO-” before being hushed abruptly by William."
